About the art:

The Thread through the dualistic vision of the art of the artist Mike Hermans is the individualistic search for the ideal identity and the compulsive try to find a mental as well as a physical place in this world. This doesn’t happen without a fight and involves a lot of physical and emotional expression. Hence the use of bright colors and the intense dynamics. Figures and sculptural forms are in a constant fight with themselves and its many potential identities in search of the ideal place.
